The initial recovery period requires at least 7 days at home. During this time, you can resume normal chores and activities and are medically fit for work. However, complete healing, including the reduction of redness, inflammation, grainy skin texture, and hyperpigmentation, takes about 12 weeks.
Yes, the results of the ablative laser procedure are permanent. Once the healing process is complete, the new skin you have is yours to keep. No, it is important that you have someone available to drive you home after the procedure. Clients are not expected to drive themselves due to the effects of the procedure itself.
