KEEPING FIT & HEALTHY AT HOME
The closure of gyms and restricted time for exercise outdoors, means that our usual fitness routines have been turned upside down! With less certainty around the lifting of restrictions, we asked our body sculpting expert Nicole to tell us the things she is doing to stay fit and healthy at home!
I start my morning by body brushing before jumping into the shower to help with my circulation and keep my body’s skin exfoliated whilst eliminating toxins helping me feel super energised in the mornings.
I always stick to 3 well balanced meals a day including healthy snacks to boost my immune system and keep my energy up so as not to become a couch potato when stuck at home. Obviously with the odd small treat occasionally.
Here are some handy food tips to incorporate into your meal planning…
- An egg contains every vitamin, except Vitamin C.
- Apples are more effective in waking you up in the morning than coffee.
- 3 carrots give you energy to walk 3 miles, they were first grown as a medicine, not food.
- Just 2 bananas will provide you with enough energy for an intense 90min workout.
It’s easy to become sluggish but these eating habits help me stay motivated as well as being able to get some fresh air which I usually do mid afternoon by walking my dog and using Instagram for the perfect “at home” full body workouts which are great.
I’m also loving a short 20min yoga session I found on YouTube to stretch and unwind in the evening. This is one of my favourites https://youtu.be/b1H3xO3x_Js
Before bed I usually opt for a relaxing bath in the evening, slathering on my Neo Strata Ultra Smoothing Lotion to keep my skin super soft.
Top Tip: Don’t forget to stay hydrated throughout the day!
