Cryotherapy Lesion Removal

Cryotherapy involves the application of a very cold substance onto a lesion to create a form of controlled burn which destroys the damaged tissue. Cryotherapy is simple and quick to undertake and as it does not break the surface of the skin, the affected area does not require dressing.

Cryotherapy might cause some temporary discomfort, often described as a burning sensation, but most clients find it easy to tolerate.

Since liquid nitrogen is not toxic or poisonous and the skin is not broken by the treatment, cyst and lesion removal is perfectly safe.

Don’t use scented soap or lotion on the treated area, and don’t apply make-up until the skin is fully healed – at least 10 days after your procedure.

Depending on the nature of the lesion, more than one treatment may be necessary, and this is usually repeated at regular intervals. A personal treatment plan will be discussed in your consultation.
